Mike Wetmore, Co-founder, Partner, CPA
Michael works closely with clients to identify the best strategies for their specific situations. Over the years, he has developed expertise serving the following practice areas:
- Estates and trusts
- High-net-worth individuals
- Healthcare organizations
- Printing and graphic arts industry
- Not-for-profit organizations
On a national level, Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and has represented the District of Columbia at AICPA Council meetings of state societies to address issues the profession is facing. He is a past member of the Governing Council.
In the Greater DC area, Mike has provided several years of leadership and service to the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants (GWSCPA) in the following capacities:

- Executive Committee member
- Past Chair, Council of Past Presidents
- Past Chair, Nominating Committee
- Past Chair, Scholarship Committee
Mike has served in a variety of industry organizations at both the local and national levels. He has been a leader on several other not-for-profit accounting boards and budget committees, and he has served as past Chair of the BDO Alliance Managing Partners round table group. In addition, he has directed several seminars on tax issues in the Washington, DC, area. Mike was nominated as Best Accountant in Best Of Falls Church, August 2021.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from The Catholic University of America. He has been a member of the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants since 2002 and a member of the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants since 1984. Mike is licensed in The District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
As a way to give back to the community, Michael often umpires local baseball games at many levels, including more than 8 Virginia State tournaments, and a dozen different tournaments in Cooperstown, NY. He has previously served as chief umpire in the Falls Church Kiwanis Little League. He has also been nominated previously as volunteer of the year for the league.
Michael represents the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs professional baseball team on the Board of Directors for the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
