Michael Wetmore co-founded Ryan & Wetmore with Peter Ryan in 1988. He has developed expertise in the accounting and tax areas of individual and estates, printing and graphic firms, health care organizations, and not-for-profit organizations.

Mike is a Certified Public Accountant and received his BS in Accounting from The Catholic University of America in 1983. He then worked as a senior accountant for five years, gaining experience in many areas. Among them are tax planning, performing audits, preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and nonprofit organizations.

Mike is involved in the industry at both a national and local level. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA's, and the Greater Washington Society of CPAs. He has served on local not-for-profit accounting boards and budget committees, as well as co-writing certain budgets presented to the Arlington County Government. He has also directed seminars on tax issues in the Washington DC area. Mike was voted the 2005 volunteer of the year for the Falls Church, Virginia Kiwanis Little League.
