Peter Ryan, CPA, co-founded Ryan & Wetmore with Michael Wetmore in 1988. Extensively experienced with many industries, Pete's accounting and consulting specialties include health care organizations, construction companies, government contractors, tax litigation and litigation support services, startup businesses, business research groups, technology groups, call centers, mergers and acquisitions, and not-for profit organizations.

Pete received his MBA in Finance in 1987 at the University of Baltimore, preceded by his BA in Accounting at The Catholic University of America in 1983. He received his CPA certification in 1983. Pete is an active member of the AICPA-Tax Practice Section, MACPA, Virginia Society of CPA’s, Greater Washington Society of CPA’s, the Healthcare Advisors Association and the Construction Financial Management Association among many other professional organizations.

Pete is respected member of the accounting profession. He has served both formally and informally on the boards of successful for profit companies. Additionally, Pete volunteers his time and serves on the boards of local not-for-profit organizations in addition to supporting and attending many charitable events. Pete was nominated and selected as a 2006 SmartCPA Winner by Washington Smart CEO magazine. Before Pete co-founded Ryan and Wetmore, he managed an accounting firm of over a dozen employees.
