Your experience at Ryan & Wetmore is primarily built upon your areas of interest in accounting. We strive to provide the most meaningful and practical experience for you. As a result, we work with you to develop both personal and professional goals for the internship experience. Additionally, everyone in the firm is available to assist you with questions about your work assignments, so that you are able to get up to speed as quickly as possible.
Interns begin their time with Ryan & Wetmore by receiving basic training on the IT systems and software used for accounting and assurance engagements, tax return preparation, researching and timekeeping. Once you are up to speed on how our office functions then you will begin working on accounting and other tasks.
As a regional firm, we have three office locations where interns may work from. Ryan & Wetmore makes every effort to place you in an office location that closest to your University. However, our interns are expected to work from the office location where the need is the greatest.
Ryan & Wetmore offers Tax, Accounting and Assurance part-time internships during the spring and fall semester and year rounded as needed. To qualify for an internship:
Applicant must be a student in accounting or related field;
Applicant must have an above average GPA;
Be a senior level undergraduate or graduate student in accounting;
Have a desire to obtain a CPA license;
Willing to be part of a fun, hardworking and positive firm culture.
